PRINCIPLES OF OUR TAEKWONDO SCHOOL
MEET OUR STAFF
Owner and Chief Instructor
The school runs under the leadership of the main instructor Mrs. Soto who is a fourth degree black belt in Taekwondo. With over 34 years of teaching experience, Mrs. Soto is one of the most experienced instructors in Sheboygan. Mrs. Soto has been teaching since 1984. In the year 2000, she began teaching Taekwondo at Judo - No - Kata, II. In the summer of 2018, the owners of Judo - No - Kata, II retired and Mrs. Soto decided to run her own School of Martial Arts under a new name, Sheboygan Taekwondo.
Mrs. Soto loves teaching and takes pride watching her students grow. Her passion is visible in her teaching and she enjoys watching her students move from being shy to becoming more outgoing and self confident individuals. She takes pride in teaching and letting the students know when they are ready for testing. Mrs. Soto believes that a black belt should be an honor, not just a passing through the belt ranks.
Mrs. Soto was born in Mexico and was introduced to martial arts in Texas were she grew up. She then came to Sheboygan were she took classes in Taekwondo earning her first degree in 1986 and continued to obtain the rank of fourth degree black belt. Throughout her time teaching, Mrs. Soto has attended numerous seminars and tournaments earning first, second, and third places in sparring, breaking, and forms. She also has experience in Judo training and self defense in Combat Hapkido under Grandmaster John Pellegrini. Mrs. Soto attended sparring seminars given by Bill “Superfoot” Wallace and Taekwondo seminars by Dr. Jerry Beasley.
