Does martial arts, karate, tae kwon do make kids violent?

Not at all! Martial arts is about peace, harmony and diplomacy. It teaches children how to AVOID fights - not pick them.

Can my child do martial arts, karate, tae kwon do if he/she is not the athletic type?

Yes! In fact, martial arts is often a “home” for kids who don't excel at team sports. Kids who have trouble in baseball, basketball, etc. often come to martial arts and do extremely well. And it's okay if your child is not athletic right now, through our classes, they'll get in great shape and become very athletic.

Can martial arts cause injury?

Because we place such a huge focus on safety and injury prevention, we're proud to say that injuries are very few and far between with our program. In fact, because martial arts gets you in great shape, and makes you strong and flexible, people often see LESS injuries in their lives.

What is Taekwondo?

Taekwondo literally means 'foot' ,'hand', 'way or art' ("The art or way of kicking and punching") and was originally designed for the Korean armed forces. It has evolved into a well-rounded martial art offering something for almost everyone - realistic self-defense, fitness, stress relief, building of self confidence, social elements and much more!

How young can children start training?

Generally, we take students as young as eight years old. Children younger than eight may not be ready for our program. We always want to make sure we are the perfect fit for you and your family.
